Job description
PURPOSE
- Drive Sourcing's vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry.
- Fully accountable for quality, production, manufacturing efficiency (ME) targets, and Social & Environmental Affairs (SEA) of the designated group(s) of factories/Operations Centers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Make day-to-day and long-term impactful decisions to achieve best possible results for the defined scope of factories/Operations Centers on all production-related topics including quality, production availability, ME, SEA, and adidas-related standards implementation.
- Build and manage strong relationships with senior members of factory management teams to establish high-performing factories.
- Work with factory General Manager(s) and senior management team members on key topics including but not limited to operator skills evaluation, operator skill training/development, and production equipment investment.
- Ensure best practices, cohesive messages, projects are shared and/or implemented consistently across factories on key focus areas (e.g., quality, production, Engineering & Manufacturing Innovation, etc.)
- Use expertise in manufacturing concepts and topics to help coach, train, and upskill adidas personnel.
- Develop and coach team members to ensure the best standards of performance, appropriate skill sets, and strong succession plans are in place.
- Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
- Global Sourcing
- Sourcing Suppliers (especially, General Manager, Functional Team Leads such as quality, engineering, etc.)
- 3rd party / external auditing firms (Quality, Lab, SEA, Sustainability, Security, etc.)
- Other GOPS functions (Brand Operations, Quality, Costing, Planning, SEA, Materials, etc.)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Deep understanding of manufacturing and continuous improvement processes
- Able to lead projects and has experience applying project management skills
- Well-developed and regularly used analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong influencing, people, presentation, and written/spoken communication skills
- Proven ability to lead teams across various business units and/or functions
- Strong Microsoft office skills
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- University degree in engineering or related areas.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience including 4+ years combined experience in at least 2 functions/areas
